The LPVC endorses Aaron Starr for Oxnard City Council. Earlier this year he launched a drive to repeal Oxnard’s recently passed 87% sewer rate increase which, to his credit, will be on the ballot in November. Now he is running for Oxnard City Council. As the financial controller for a large corporation, we know Mr. Starr to be a strong businessman, just what is needed to fix the city’s problems. He has also involved himself in the community as founder of Moving Oxnard Forward. Aaron can be counted on to be fiscally conservative and to focus on the issues Oxnard needs: safety, infrastructure repair and fostering a business/jobs climate. PLEASE NOTE: Aaron is a long-time and well-respected member of the Libertarian Party. He has held positions as County Chair, State Chair and National Treasurer. It would be a huge achievement for Aaron to become the second Libertarian from our County elected to a public position. There are two positions available and, in a recent poll, he was one of the top three contenders.
