In line with federal requirements, the Ventura County Board of Education issued a Constitution Week Proclamation. A 2004 amendment mandates that all publicly funded educational institutions and all federal agencies  provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day

Liberty and Libations Constitution Day Brunch

Acknowledge our roots by attending a Constitution Day brunch on Sunday September 17th at 11:00 AM. Join us at Fusion Grill, 2024 East Avenida de los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, CA. Wine Tasting Fundraiser Thursday August 10

Join us at Camarillo Custom Crush, an urban winery, for a fun fundraiser on Thursday August 10. The event will include a wine-tasting with light appetizers and dessert for $15/LPVC members and $20/non-members. Meet at 300 So. Lewis Road in Camarillo (south of 101) between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  All attendees will receive a discount on any bottle wine purchased and will also be eligible to win a raffle prize.

Wildlife Corridor Meeting Wed July 26

Landowners and homeowners near planned Wildlife Corridors will want to meet to fight back against this erosion of property rights. VC CoLab will host and Supervisor Peter Foy will speak Wednesday July 26 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Underwood Family Farms, 3370 Sunset Valley Road in Moorpark in the pony paddock area. Proposed regulations target limits on new construction, land use, fencing, and lighting. The LPVC supports CoLab in their efforts to confront this project being promoted by our county and the National Park Service


Wildlife Corridors Speaker at Quarterly Business Meeting July 20

If you are affected by the county’s vast Wildlife Corridor project you will want to attend the quarterly business meeting on Thursday July 20 at 6:30 PM at Marie Callender’s in Camarillo, 185 E. Daily Drive. Lynn Jensen of VC CoLAB (Ventura County Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business) will speak from a property owner’s point of view and discuss its effect on property rights and increased regulations. Liberty and Libations Outdoor Play & Picnic with George Orwell’s Animal Farm

Meet for July’s Liberty and Libations social under the oaks in Topanga Canyon on Saturday July 8. We will bring our own picnics and meet at 1:45 PM to converse with socially tolerant and fiscally responsible-minded friends just before the 3:30 performance, an adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm.  Contact the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum’s Box Office to reserve your seats, ranging in price from $15 (Veterans, teachers, students, etc.) to $38. This is an outdoor theater, so come prepared with sweaters and seat cushions.
