Already Against the Next Mandate
This means at all times, especially now, individuals must have the freedom and responsibility to determine what is in their best interest. Unfortunately, over the past 18 months, we’ve seen repeated assaults on our freedoms and our right to think for ourselves. We’ve seen the government tease the idea of vaccine passports and implement vaccine and testing mandates. We’ve seen the government lock us down, creating different public health crises and problems. We’ve seen hundreds of thousands of people lose their jobs and lose their businesses. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Today, we are launching our Already Against the Next Mandate issue campaign. This action-focused campaign is a Party-wide effort and it aims to hold the politicians accountable who continue these attacks on our civil liberties. Visit our newly launched site at www.alreadyagainstthenextmandate.com to find out how you can help, participate in the effort, and stop the spread of government overreach. |

Jeff Hewitt for Governor
At the state convention from May 14-16, The Libertarian Party of California endorsed Jeff Hewitt for Governor. A Libertarian and current Riverside County Supervisor, Hewitt brings over 17 years of successful public office experience to his run for governor. Before he became a county supervisor he was the mayor of Calimesa, CA as well as a successful businessman.
“With my gubernatorial campaign in full swing, we are pulling out all the stops because we know we have an excellent shot at winning this race given the current state of politics in California,” said Hewitt.

Electronic Voting - Bring a Device!!
We will be using the Porcupine app developed by our Interim Executive Director, T.J. Ferreira, for elections at the convention. Porcupine requires a web-enabled device (computer, tablet, or phone). While paper ballots will still be made available for those without access to a device, we encourage all voting State Central Committee members to bring such a device in order to streamline the process.
