For those members who are interested in helping the Party on a national level, you may be interested in applying for one of these committee positions working with the LP. The deadline is August 31, 2018.
2 non-LNC members selected by the LNC
The Audit Committee’s tasks are to select an independent audit company and to direct the scale and scope of standard annual audits of the Party’s accounting records and processes. Following receipt of the audit company’s report, the Committee shall help the LNC interpret the audit results and assist the latter in preparing any action plans that might be needed to alleviate deficiencies.
Don't touch that dial! You ARE in the right place. This is the Libertarian Party of Ventura County's new website. We switched hosts and gave our website a new look. Things will be in transition for a while as we learn the new system and fine-tune the site to best suit our needs. Thank you for your patience.
Wow! Had a great time at the Wine Social this evening. Where were you? Maybe you came last year and thought “been there, done that,” but for me, anytime I can enjoy a glass of wine with friends in the Libertarian Party, I know it will be good. We talked history and issues and current campaigns. We were lucky to have the state’s two main Libertarian candidates there: Nicholas Wildstar for Governor and Tim Ferreira for Lieutenant Governor. As I said, where were you? Nelson Lopez, our Vice Chair was kind enough to offer the Camarillo Custom Crush venue for our very own meeting place and, as usual, it was both comfortable and pleasant. Periodically getting together with fellow Libertarians helps us stay on track with our plans for the Party. In this atmosphere we can brainstorm on the best thing to do next. Donations also help feather the coffers. With all that to gain, won’t you please join us next time?
“Spanning three days and covering dozens of exciting topics, our speakers will keep you engaged, educated, and inspired.” So reads the state website regarding this year’s convention at the Marriott Hotel in Long Beach. And with a line-up including former LP VP candidates Judge Jim Gray and Governor William Weld, Matt Welch of Reason magazine, and National LP Chair Nicholas Sarwark, you will be glad you came. Of course, there will also be (free) regular business sessions to review our By-Laws and Platform, but even they can be entertaining. Plan to attend even if you can only make it for one day. Friday night will be a reception. Saturday and Sunday will have a full day agenda. Saturday night will be a special dinner with speaker.
A message from Carl DeMaio who is doing wonderful work to help us keep more of our own money:
The Gas Tax Repeal Initiative got off to a red-hot start by collecting nearly 500,000 signatures in just 10 weeks. But we still need roughly 200,000 more signatures and time is running out. I really need your help and it will only take 5 minutes.
From: Carl DeMaio, Chairman -Reform California – Gas Tax Repeal Initiative
I just got the tally back for the signature drive on the Gas Tax Repeal Initiative. At the moment, we have roughly 360k signatures in – a record pace for a statewide initiative!
