BALLOT PROPOSITIONS: Below is the State LP's list of recommendations. The LP continues their stand against additional taxes and bonds. No matter how good it sounds, 99% of the time it's just another way to take in taxpayer money rather than dealing with a poor budget. And do not be swayed by ballot titles and descriptions which many times are deceiving, especially the one for Proposition 39 regarding Voter ID and Voter Rolls Cleanup.
Note that the LPVC takes exception to the State leadership's "no" on Prop 39; the LPVC recommends a YES vote on Prop 39 for Voter ID.
Proposition 43 is also a very important YES. It will make any new ballot tax proposal harder to pass because it will take a 2/3 vote instead of the current simple majority to win.
