TAXATION   Just renewed my car insurance and found out that my insurance company already knew my mileage! I know our privacy has been dwindling, but I was astounded. She told me that the insurance companies are now hooked up to all the repair shops. I didn't at first put two and two together, but later realized this is all in preparation for the proposed mileage tax, another one of Newsom's and our legislature's attempts to wring more money out of us.
