All are invited to our Quarterly Business Meeting and Fall Dinner Social. Our guest Kathleen O'Brien will speak on "Getting Libertarians Elected and Re-Elected to Office." The event will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday October 23 at Ottavio's Italian Restaurant in Old Towne Camarillo.
Kathleen O’Brien is a member of the Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District Board of Directors; she is also Events Committee Chair for the LPVC. In 2000, Kate won a seat on the Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District Board of Directors by three votes, the closest election in the history of Ventura County at that time, against an appointed incumbent and a fellow whose political consultant father spent $20k+ to get him elected.
She was re-elected in 2004 against 2 challengers and came in first with the highest vote total in the history of the Park District. Since winning her first election, Kate has been re-elected every election year. She is the longest serving elected Libertarian in Ventura County.
Please come to learn more about campaigns and candidates and the many ways you can help your local Libertarian Party.
There is no charge to attend the quarterly meeting. And everyone is invited whether or not they are a member. But we do hope you will want to reserve a meal to help defray the cost of the room. Please make your selection below by Friday October 19.
Attendees not selecting a meal will be able to order beverages from the bar. Please RSVP by contacting us via this website.
If you have any questions feel free to call 805-642-LPVC. Thank you.
